Join Jesuit Fathers Jim Clifton and Amit D’Souza as they share their experiences and observations about being a part of the worldwide body of the Society of Jesus. Learn of the blessings and challenges that accompany these men on their global journeys.

Speaker Bios
Father Jim Clifton, SJ, a native of Omaha, met the Jesuits while an undergraduate student at Creighton University. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1977 and was ordained in 1988. He served at Creighton Prep, the Archdiocese of Castries (St. Lucia), St. Joseph Hospital (Omaha), and St. Frances Cabrini Church/All Saints Catholic School (Omaha), prior to his present assignment as Associate Dean for Mission at the Creighton University School of Medicine.
Father Amit D’Souza, SJ, is a native of Goa, India. He grew up with the Jesuits, having been educated from kindergarten through high school at St. Paul’s Jesuit School in Belgaum City in India. He entered the Jesuits in 2005 and was ordained in 2016. As a Jesuit, Father D’Souza has taught middle school and high school students and has cared for the elderly as the first Jesuit overseeing the Goa Province’s new infirmary. He arrived in Omaha in August 2022 to begin studies in Creighton University’s Doctor of Education while also serving at Creighton Prep in sacramental and pastoral ministry as well as administration and coaching.

On Thursday, February 22, 2024, JFAN Omaha hosted Celtic Notes & Anecdotes: A Night with Fr. Ryan Duns, SJ. In preparation for St. Patrick’s Day, the Associate Professor of Theology at Marquette University shared his special gifts for storytelling and Irish music, playing the tin whistle and piano accordion at the Networking Reception.
